Inser special character to oracle database

Hi,

I'm trying to import an excel file to a table in Oracle sql database using Oracle Client SQL developer 11g. The problem is that in one column I have a value as a formula and containt a special character ; (semicolon). The formula all were imported, but without the semicolon that I needed.

Please help.

You might need to escape the ;, escape chars in oracle is ' and \

oci_bind_by_name() could be an option, i think this does the escaping for you. Or str_replace() to replace all ; with \;, addslashes() may also do the job.
