I have an email list from a site. It tracks email addresses in record and unsubscribed. But I want to track on my own and for reasons of sending specific emails.
So on a daily basis I can pull a text file like this.
email@email.com
email2@email.com
email3@email.com
email4@email.com
email5@email.com
This list could lose subscribers also, so the order might change as people are lost or added.
so I will upload this list daily, and I want it to compare it to the database, and spit out a list saying.. whats new..
so If i were to upload this list, it would say like..
email5@email.com
and that would be the NEW email address added since the last check.
should I put this into an array? and compare the array its single field and seperated by new line, and the formatting will not change.
I just think im overthinking this... but i need to keep a physical count of the subscibers so i can chart them out later on for my research, from the recorded dates later on, as "subscibed on" and "unsubscribed on"
I will also have a comments field for specific questions per user, so I need a master list of everyone at all times in mysql database.
any point in the right direction would be great.. i created a database all ready for this. Which I can post.
