[RESOLVED] probs with htaccess rewrite

I've got these two lines in my htaccess :

RewriteRule ^pages/services-a-la-personne/(.*)$ page.php?p_id=$1
RewriteRule ^services/services-a-la-personne/(.*)$ services.php?p_id=$1

this url goes to the right page and send the right variable $_GET['p_id'] :

http://www.domain.org/pages/services-a-la-personne/historique

but this one goes to the right page but with an empty $_GET['p_id'] :

http://www.domain.org/services/services-a-la-personne/creation

this shows an empty variable

echo "pid = ".$_GET['p_id'];

what am I doing stupidly wrong ??

now that's wierd :

I removed the 's' from the rewrite target filename and changed the name of the file too and now it works !!

RewriteRule ^{services/services-a-la-personne/(.*)$} service.php?p_id=$1

it would appear that it doesn't like having "services" in the string and the file name !

anyway, thanks to those who've had a look at this

Not sure what your problem actually was, but your original code worked fine for me.
