I just realized I was typing "cd.." and not "cd .."

Not sure what Iw as doing yesterday, because using "cd" was working up to my home directory, but that syntax error fixed things this a.m.
Also, just typing "/Applications" (i.e. a direct path) seems to also be a nice short-cut.
Using "pwd" also seems to help you figure out where you are at.
Told you I didn't remember command line very well!
