[RESOLVED] Making a checkbox 2 unavailable if checkbox 1 is selected

Hi there,

I have a page with 10 checkbox-selected items to be used in determining what to display on the subsequent page. The two checkboxes, Continents & Countries, can be chosen, but you can have one or the other. How do I make it such that if one is selected, the other is not and vice-versa?

if they are mutually exclusive, don't use check boxes use radio buttons

I am using checkboxes for the other 8 optional items which can be selected in any combination. I'd like to keep checkboxes for consistency's sake.

then you will have to use js and do it client side, when you get to server side php, you wont know which they meant if they check both.

Thanks. I took your original advice using radio buttons and that solution will work. I'll take ease over consistency any day 🙂
