[RESOLVED] How to format currency with a $

I would like to format my sales with a '$' in front of the number.
How do I accomplish this? I am running PHP/MySQL on WINDOWS XP platform.

With the number_format (), I got the thousand separator and the decimal without the '$'. Please help. Thanks.🙂

$sales = number_format ($row['Sales'], 2, '.', ',');
echo $row['Category Name']." ".$sales."<br />";

Just prepend the '$', e.g.,

echo $row['Category Name'] . " $" . $sales . "<br />";

Have you considered [man]money_format/man instead?
