Problem in phpmyadmin

I have 2 problems in Phpmy admin.....

1. I am not able to create multi value field. Suppose a book may have number of authors. How can I fill all authors. such that they can be identified separately.

2. I am putting default value for one field but it is not setting as I consider that field is text. It is giving error. but if I put that field as varchar it is going well but not setting default value.

1. If you need a many-to-one relationship like that (which makes sense), then you should probably have a separate author_to_book table, for which each row would be one author and the primary key for a book. You might even have a separate author table, in which case the author_to_book table's rows would then consist of just the two primary keys: author ID and book ID.

2. Not real sure what you mean, but note that an empty string will not trigger a default value to be used when doing an INSERT, you need to instead specify the NULL keyword (not quoted), or simply not insert any value at all for that field (not include it in the field list or values list at all).
