Error when sign-up is complete.

Hey!

I made a mailing list sign-up php for the bottom of a site. The site has a template which the fields are in. When I sign up for the mailing list in the test directory, it works fine and i get the proper result. When I make the site live and sign up, i get this error:

Warning: mail(): "sendmail_from" not set in php.ini or custom "From:" header missing in \nas-002\winspace002\10-collisionclinic.com\www\signup.php on line 38

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at \nas-002\winspace002\10-collisionclinic.com\www\signup.php:38) in \nas-002\winspace002\10-collisionclinic.com\www\signup.php on line 42

I don't know what it is or how to fix it. you can check out the site if you like.

Add a "From: valid-email@your-site.com" in the "additional headers" parameter in the mail() function call.

I'm sorry, I don't know what I should do here. I know where the problem is (I think) and you have obviously told me how to fix it, but it's still unclear to me...

See the [man]mail/man manual page. Notice the parameter list in the Description section at the top:

bool mail ( string $to , string $subject , string $message [, string $additional_headers [, string $additional_parameters ]] )

Now scroll down that page a bit to the section labeled "additional_headers (optional)" within the Parameters section:

String to be inserted at the end of the email header.

This is typically used to add extra headers (From, Cc, and Bcc). Multiple extra headers should be separated with a CRLF (\r\n).

    Note:

    When sending mail, the mail must contain a From header. This can be set with the additional_headers parameter, or a default can be set in php.ini.

    Failing to do this will result in an error message similar to Warning: mail(): "sendmail_from" not set in php.ini or custom "From:" header missing. The From header sets also Return-Path under Windows.
