Hacking and Security Lit

Hello,

I am taking a few security classes for my grad degree and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on learning to hack using php?

I am interested in learning to break web applications and then fixing the vulnerabilties I expose/compromise.

I only plan on doing this for grad school and applications we make at my job, just so everyone knows lol...

Let me know if you know any good books or tutorials or something.
