php and sql database website help!

I'm kind of in over my head on a project and need some advice. I have a client's website which is done in php and sql. They are wanting me to modify another website of theirs using the same database. My problem is this, I dont know how to write or change php as i am used to using website builders and things like that. Do you know of any website builders for php and sql? Is there any other resourses where i can pick this up rapidly and make some neccessary changes?

There's huge amounts of mostly good resources in the way of tutorials and forums like this one.
