RewriteRule weird issue

I have a RewriteRule in .htaccess file that works great.

RewriteRule ^story/(.*)$ include/text/story_page.inc.php?story=$1 [NC,L]

I added another one, very similar but the value I get is "1". What is going on?

RewriteRule ^school/(.*)$ include/text/school_page.inc.php?school=$1 [NC,L]

Please disregard my earlier post (and delete if possible). I was trying to get this var too far into my script, after another one "cleaned it"...
