I can't use my varible except displaying

Dear All, I have a problem, I have a variable that I want to use it in select query, but but It refuse (I tried even to compare with other one still not working), the only action I can do with it is only to display it. Please I need your help. Thanks in advance.

No way to tell without seeing the code, though it sounds like it might be a variable scope issue, either trying to use a variable within a function that is not passed to that function, or trying to use a variable defined in a function outside of that function.
