I'm preparing a PHP system for manage banners sent me by clients to be post on my website.

In my case study I was thinin g to have JPG, GIF, and SWF banners...
But i found a client who wants his banner post on my site

Let's say in a google ads way... e.g. <script src="http://www.hissite/hisbanner.php?parms=d&parms=d&parms=d"></script>

is it safe to accept banner like these?
actually i can't even think a away to track the click on such a banner... and i'm thinkin, since it outpust Js functions... they may confilct with my website functions,..... givin problems to me....

so am I right to invite the client to send me the SWF file instead of the script tag that outputs the HTML/js to display it? So i have the full control over the banner?

Its your site, and your rules. Period.

I personally would never allow a non-trusted source to output any javascript, but then again with the site that I am running now, I can be picky.

You can review his scripts to see if they compete. Keep in mind - his scripts shouldn't be able to affect your page as its cross-domain.

Either way - in my point, if you can't trust his scripts - don't let him run them. He can chose an alternative option.

Actually i'm experiencing high latence too to load the banner this way, by script meta tag. And many timeouts.

But how about the Rich Media Tag of doubleclick by google?
