[RESOLVED] HT: AutoActivate my functions ?

Instead of putting this

include "..\ActivateFunctions.php";

to every script I make, Id like to tell PHP to load my function on every server start.
If I am correct, PHP.INI does not contain autoload functions option.

You can autoload classes, but I don't think you can autoload specific functions.

I dont know what is classes 🙂 Even first two pages of classes manual did not help.
So you sadly poited about the possibility there is no such a thing 🙂 🙁

It would seem that classes are something like advenced functions. If only it could be used the same easy way as function. . .

I wonder how come functions does not have the ability to be autoloaded.

classes are not advanced functions if you want to think of it in a way classes are tree's of functions that have methods(functions) and properties(variables) you can use these methods and properties to manipulate an array of things from files to people.

and you can autoload the class that has your function you need to use.

// makes the class an object.
$foo = new classname();
$foo->yourfunction();

I'm confused.. you just want to autoload certain user-defined function(s) in every script? Why not just put those functions in a file and use the auto_prepend_file PHP directive?

but it does not work

I stop and start apache manually after each ini change.

Id like to use auto_prepend_file, but I do not know how, my attemps failed.

If you do a [man]phpinfo/man, does the value of 'auto_prepend_file' match what you're putting in the .ini file?

You mean the "Loaded Configuration File" path in the phpinfo() readout is correct?

Also, can you rename your php.ini file to have a .txt extension and attach it to your next post?

Windows 7 denied write to php.ini so I coulnd not save it, but windows did not tell me !!!! Notepad++ saved it normally, but php.ini was not changed. I had to overwrite it by total commander.

But now there is a new problem. (solved)
