Greetings, I'm building a CMS and I would like to upload FLV's. I want thumbnails generated for each FLV when they are uploaded. Are there any alternatives out there apart from ffmpeg?

There's MEncoder, but honestly I would recommend sticking with ffmpeg if possible. I've used it on multiple projects and, in my experience, it is more ubiquitous and has better documentation than MEncoder.
I'd have to put in a 2nd vote for ffmpeg. Its got some great documentation. I've used it many times in the past.
