hello friends, this is more of a browser question but its related to my php project :-)
i am working on building components for a web2.0 website. the site has a SSO application that uses cookies for authentication and saving users' info. my components will run through a different server but a sub-domain will be created and pointed to our server, ie:
company.com (site url)
sso.company.com (authentication url)
me.company.com (points to project.myserver.com)
does anyone know if I will have access to those cookies? is the browser smart enough to say, wait a minute, this is domain is just pointing to another server, don't give him access to the cookies?
thoughts?
the authentication app only work by passing it a "key", that key resides only in the cookie and there is no other way to access it, no secondary callback.
i am waiting for the sub-domain to be setup so I thought I would ask while I wait nervously.
