[RESOLVED] Unable to run PHP service, probably my unhappily windows configuration

This is probably caused by my windows configuration, but I do not know what to configure to make it run .... 🙁

Not english part:
It is usually allowed only one use of every address(protocol, network address, port) of the socket.

Any help please ? 🙂

btw: I think allowing display images is useful.

My old computer gets freezed when attemping to run servece like this. Configuration needs to be fixed somehow .

It looks to be a problem with the web server and not PHP. Look over the documentation, you want the server to be running on local host, or 127.0.0.1, but it looks like it's bound to 0.0.0.0.

Its a little bit visually fixed, but still does not work. : (

Can you see something on configuration file ?

One weird thing.........................................................................................................
When httpd starts, the firewall should tell me that there is an connection attemp from httpd to 127.0.0.1
but firewal does not say anything. I tryed add firewall rule manually,but no help.

I don't know what firewall you have; the localhost interface isn't always protected, and perhaps that's a Good Thing(tm).

I'd suggest either you need to run httpd as "Administrator", so it can bind to the address, or that you already have something running on port 80, which I think you could check on Windoze like so:

C:\users\me> netstat -an | find "80"

You can get a PID for the process with the "/o" flag ... and then look it up in "taskmgr", I suppose.

Skype is using port 80 !
I could fix it, but there is something unusual.
php does not use 127.0.0.1 or my PC IP address.
but it uses something similar to:
127.22.166.1

and I can not even use access word as before which is localhost
but now I have to use localhost.cz      :-O
(cz is my country, I guess thats why it is cz)

What could be different that I can nou use usual methods ?

I was able to find this new localhost ip, because php can find it automaticly.

If I'm understanding correctly, you have skype using port 80 and cannot change it? If that's the case you can bind to a different port in your httpd.conf.

Something like

Listen 127.0.0.1:8080

then access it through http://localhost:8080, or with the .cz included if that's what it's wanting from you.

I blocked skype by firewall and it worked. I have PHP.
I did not tell skype to use port 80, I dont know why it uses it.

It's how the program works. See this Skype help page for more info.

Also, PHP isn't using any IP at all - it's your webserver that needs port 80 (unless you change it).

Well first of all you'd have to elaborate on where you're seeing that. Again, PHP itself isn't trying to bind to port 80 - that's your webserver. If you're using Apache, then you'd have to look at the "Listen" line in your httpd.conf file to see how it's binding itself; usually you'll see something like "Listen *:80" which means "bind to port 80 on all available IP addresses" (including the loopback interface).

Every time I install PHP I can alway acces it by typing localhost or 127.0.0.1 to the browser
But it is changed now.
it is localhost.cz and 127.22.166.1

There is
Listen 80
in httpd.conf
and no setting for host name.

This setting always used 127.0.0.1 and localhost, but not now.

It should not be any mistake or error. But its unusual , and I can only hope, that it is not caused by some virus..... :-D
