need to show few dat from database o a image mouseover

Hi all.....
I am a bit new for PHP...
i am going to develop a classified web site..What my problem is i need to show few data from database on image mouse-over...

As an example consider i have a image with a car..what i want to do is, once i move mouse pointer to the image, it should pop-up a short description with data which fetch from the database.(like price of the vehicle,year)...

I am glad if someone can help me to solve this problem..

its a mostly a js issue, you either load the data in the page and hide it and then show it on mouse over or you make a db call via ajax on mouse over.

Yeah i tried several js to make this happen..But i couldn't find a proper source for that.
I'll be really glad full if you can give me any link or any source about this..Sorry for troubling you cos i am new for this kind of things....
