Please can anyone point me to the right direction, I want a php implementation of scanning an uploaded file such as an image. I have a web form used by members of public to upload files such as images to the webserver. Is there a way to ensure that the files are virus free? Please help!
I doubt there is any PHP-based virus scanner out there - you'd have to use some 3rd party software for that.
To that end, all you'd do in PHP is [man]exec[/man] the 3rd party program and retrieve the response/result.
