Fopen Syntax

Hello--
I'm trying to ftp a group of xml files to a server using fopen. I have used examples found on the Internet and the PHP manual. I'm hoping someone can take a look at this script and tell me if the syntax is correct, and more importantly, can this even be done this way. Thanks in advance🙂

fopen("ftp://user:pass@domain/../xmltest/listing\n" . $listingID . ".xml", "w");

While I haven't tested if the PHP stream wrappers support the 'user:pass' syntax (I would assume they do), I do see one problem:

Why do you have an "\n" (a.k.a. a line break) before the listing id?
