Installing PHP on windows 7

Hello,

I installed Apache and IIS on my computer with windows 7 64 bit. Then I used the PHP installer on .net microsoft site but then I run C:\inetpub\wwwroot\phpinfo.php it gives me a save file option. Why is that?

I'm new to this.

When you say you use "the PHP installer on .net microsoft site," do you mean you used the Web Platform Installer? If you did that you might try uninstalling and reinstalling using WPI, it should have worked.

If, however, you didn't use WPI you'll want to add the .php extension to your handlers. There are plenty of tutorials on this:
