I just did a phpinfo(), and at the very top is says:
PHP Version 5.2.6-1+lenny9
So... what is "lenny9"? I've been searching the Internet in vain.

Probably just to indicate that the build is specific to Debian's Lenny release.
That seems to make sense. Not sure what the "9" might stand for.
