I'm looking to start a project that will allow people to use there adsense code to post in there wordpress but disable the javascript that adsense want's to run on your site. I see that the ad still needs to function but I dont feel that google really had the right to run cookies and all kind of other tracking software on my visitors it's just to much now adays and I would like to solve this problem but I'm not really sure what the best way to go about this is.
I was thinking there must be a way to run the google adsense code server side with out the the client viewing it then just printing the resulting ad in the proper place with the javascript code striped.
If the technology exist with PHP and image manipulation in it to scan the resulting images before displayed to the visitor for any form of code that would be an ideal situation. So then your viewers/possible customers are seeing the ad that google intended to display anyways without having to worry about all of this tracking that's going on, on the internet today.
I do see some value in seeing ad's that are somewhat talored to your interest but I think that it's been taken far beyond this point now and has just become a joke and everyone is just looking for any possible information they can gleem(steal) from your computer that the browser makers have not locked down.
I'm happy to write the code for this project but I would love to hear from more people about what the best possible way to go about this is and if you have any more ideas of what we can do as site owner and builders to help protect all of us at the end of the day.
