[RESOLVED] Using Group By or Distinct or someother way

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out a way of sorting my table from this

ID Name Item
1 John Car
2 John Home
3 John TV
4 Lisa SUV
5 Lisa Car
6 Lisa Plasma
7 Paul Book

Into THIS using a MySQL query.

John[INDENT] Car
Home
TV[/INDENT]
Lisa[INDENT]SUV
Car
Plasma[/INDENT]
Paul Book

Is this possible in one SQL statement? An insight to my example would help me tremendously.

What you'd want to do is GROUP BY the 'Name', and use GROUP_CONCAT() to return all of the items in a single field (you could use a separator to later explode this into an array of items in PHP, if you desire).
