YII : is it a good friend?

I came across knowin this framework a month ago...

Since i'd like to get deep into using one framework and study about it

i'd like to hear someone 's experience about using Yii framework...

Does it really help?

Is it better tha Zend? They say it's lighter... and the package...it is

but once running.... does it perform well? and really agile as declared?
