PHP Developer Help

I’m new to this community and hoping I can get your input.

I run a digital agency of 50 full-time staff in New York City. I’ve been using HR specialists in our recruitment efforts but wanted to gather some insight myself in terms of what developers (particularly PHP) really look for in a job. We are always actively hiring and looking for top talent in terms of developers but I’m not convinced we have figured out the right mix in terms of what makes a job a perfect for a candidate.

I’m looking to understand from the viewpoint of developers of what their expectations are in a job across the following attributes. I’m not worried about figures (although they are welcome), rather which of the below are most important?

Salary.
Benefits.
Schedule.
Training.
Support.
Perks.

I’ve heard a range of opinions over the past year on what’s important from HR specialists, but I’d love to actually hear from developers. I doubt it’s all about salary although I know it's a critical part of compensation puzzle... I assume flexibility is important... I would assume training and a support team to work in a collaborative environment is important as well... What are your thoughts?

If anyone has a particular opinion, I’d love to hear it.

There are three important factors for me.

1) Knowledge
2) Schedule
3) Salary

low pay = below average for comparable work

I will work what I consider low pay on a schedule I don't like if I see a good oppertunity to increase my working knowledge or master another skill.

I will work what I consider low pay on a telecommuting job, especially if it includes any of the above reasons.

I will sell my soul and work the 'Mans' hours learning nothing new for what I consider high pay.

I've been quoted as saying not having to wear pants is worth $20k/year to me, so I may be an out layer in your poll.

Appreciate the reply. I've heard multiple times that the ability to work remotely is both a good thing and a bad thing if it's exclusive to one or the other. I'm assuming the flexibility to work from home is a great thing but having opportunities to collaborate with others in the right doses would also be ideal. I had someone in a few months ago that said "I miss being around other developers."
