Parse error

hello all

sorry if this has been asked befor (new to all this)

in my phpbb forum acp when i select custom profile fields in users and groups area i get the following message.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in /home/streetf1/public_html/includes/acp/acp_profile.php on line 417

what does it mean and how do i fix it?

if it's not a secret then post acp_profile.php here.

Generally for a specific script, you are better of asking in that scripts support forum, rather than in a generic php forum like this one.

seems unlikely that a parse error has crept in to acp_profile.php unless you have modified it, if not try re-upload it from source.

That particular parse error is usually caused by a missing semi-colon ';' or closing curly brace '}'...
