I need to "run a report" which is just getting data from my access database and printing into a form of some sort, I would love for it to export to a PDF form is possible, so is it? if so how?

the easiest way to export data is going to be excel, whether it is csv,tab delimited, etc.

if you insist on using pdf then I might recommend looking into: http://php.net/pdf

alternatively word is going to be a little more complex, as the way that word encodes its files are different than that of a standard html doc. there are multiple classes that are prewritten that you might look into. whether they are free or not is another story.

Does PDF need anything else installed? is there a way of checking if it work before a wirte an entire script.

i believe everything is already included. I'm not sure if there is a PHP version minimum as I have never done anything with pdf.

additionally it should be rather quick to write to pdf. again this is something I haven't done, but I'm sure it would be something along the lines of pdf_open, pdf_write, pdf_close.

I appologize, i don't have any scripts to do this currently, but would be curious as to see the results.
