so I ahve rows that are only meaningful when sorted by the order they are received, as:
1 5/15 200.00
2 6/15 175.00
3 6/15 295.00
4 6/16 195.00
..
..
now the weird question I have is, is there any way by query to say "give me the [greatest] number of rows, starting with 1, where the sum of column C is less than or equal to 700.00" ??
or put another way, what is the n'th row of a table in this order where sum all before it and it = a specific amount or less.
I'm guessing mySQL canNOT handle this, but Ihave been surprised before!
[edited] - Oh and an extension of this, can you say in MySQL, "group by groups where sum column C is less than or equal to amount N for all groups, in the order presented"
Thanks,
Samuel
