Displaying parts of a $_GET

Hi guys,

Say for example I have this URL, domain.com/?keyword=.phpbuilder.com/ and I wanted to display the value of keyword on a page as "phpbuilder.com" removing the dot and ending slash.

How do i do that?

I would say use [man]parse_url/man and then [man]trim/man to remove the period and slash.
