php issue and I'm an ASP guy!

hello all...
full disclaimer - I'm an MCSD, ASP/.NET guy who runs a simple php cms that I've had up and running for years...

thing is, that all of a sudden on the login page there's an automatic redirect to a 404....

the exact same php login page runs fine on other domains on that same server and that's what has me stumped. I've tried deleting all the php files, reinstalling same and same error all the time, a 404....

????

is there someone I can ask for help on this?

If you're getting a 404 response, Apache should be logging the error. What does the line from the Apache error log look like?

Ah....a response! great...

thing is tho that this is a php.5.x install on a w2k3/IIS6 box...so there is "no" apache error log that I know of....

is there a comparable "windows" log kept of the php errors?

<grin> sorry, but us MS types also love php and the rock solid (er, till now) performance it usually gives...

I probably should have written a more general response (esp. w/ the mention of the nasty A-word in the thread title).

IIS has its own error log just like Apache; check out this page.

Hi, JV ... can I ask a simple question ... I don't suppose that the 404 page tells you what you were looking for, but didn't find?
