I work for a major company that has several different stores/brands. We get "promo" sheets where have have info such as price, dates etc etc. We want to put these forms online, easy i'll put that stuff in a Promo table with a PromoID, PromoStartDate etc

The issue I have is the promo codes, there are in some cases 10-15+ of them TABC1 FABC1 then TABC2 and on and on.

I first thought table called PromoCodes and have the PromoID next to the ID but what if there are 20 promo codes, it will take a long time to add it to the database, can we do this in a better way at all?

I don't want to make a long winded process for adding a promo to my database

Why not allow an import of codes to the database for each promo. The table structure looks ok to me.

There is no format to the promo codes, it's just what the supply manager wants to give them.

They are also just written in a PDF or excel sheet.

Could they all be put in one field and searched in there?
