How to insert a text into text

Hi,

Say I have a text strig of

$a=nnR8fDW3Ilo

that I get from somewhere....

Now how can I insert this into the fixed text of

in place of $id ? In other words, I want to insert $a which is equal to some variable text, in place of $id

How can I do that?

may be i wrote the syntax wrong but this didnt work. it gives error for the line in the middle. $a is the variable coming from before.

I want to replace $id with $a in $url2

You want to search for the string '$id', not the variable $id.

i changed the middle line to

$result=str_replace ( '$id' , $a , $url2 );

but it still gives me "unexpected T Variable" error....

The parse error is caused by a missing semicolon after the preceding statement.

you are right 🙂 it has been a while since i did not write any code myself, so....

ok now that I have this text value of

i copy and paste this text to the browser and it gives me a thumbnail of a youtube video.

I then save that picture to my desktop to use on my blog....

Is there a way to automate this copying and pasting on to the browser and then saving it to my desktop?

not that it is a lenghty process, but considering i will do this 100000 times in the future, i want to automate things as much as possible.
