SEO for different language website

How to manage different language website according to the search engine optimization. Is it easy? If have any idea then please share me.

currently i manage languages with session. That's why url's are same in each language. But i want that if a user search in French in google then if it matches company name/data of French of my website then it should go directly to French language page.

Please let me know if i am not clear in my question. Thanks

If the url does not change google cant have a version for every language, it will have the default. Wile you could set something up to feed google another language, you would have the issue with the url. This is why its better to have a changing url to reflect the language

i don't think what structure you chose mater much, what ever is easier for you:

fr.site.com
site.com/fr/

Just make sure i can change to the English version if i end up on the French one.

you could go crazy and register the country domains and use them

site.co.uk
site.co.fr

Thanks again. can you guide me in one more step. my site url like this

http://sitename/pagename.php/id1/value1/id2/value2

in this format where should i put language. at the end like

http://sitename/pagename.php/id1/value1/id2/value2/fr

or at the beginning like

http://sitename/fr/pagename.php/id1/value1/id2/value2

i would put it at the begging, then its in a fixed place.
