Hi. I have a two page family website. The first page is public, it's a bit of update as to what's going on with the family (the kids are grown, scattered all over the globe so they like to read what their siblings are up to; ok, proud pop, I like to write about what they're doing). The second page is photos of who's doing what.
Can I create this such that while the first page is public, there would be a text input field on the page for Password that would then take you to the second page (the photos page)? The password would be static, say, yurdad (case-insensitive) or whatever.
I'm familiar with .htaccess to bring up a login prompt but I was wondering if I could instead just create the password (no username) text input field within the public first page itself to then bring up (switch to) the private photos page or directory. And in so doing, the photos page would also not be accessible via direct URL.
Thanks in advance for you feedback on this. Apologies if this is a wrong forum for this, please point me to one more appropriate. Thanks. 🙂
Bob
