Hi All,
On my win 7 machine I am running XAMPP. This was all fine, untill last night while I was away windosw decided to reboot the machine. Upon restart the server and all seemed to run fine, except.. I cannot get to mysql anymore. php admin gives me:

#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.
I have tried several settings with the Xampp forum help (http://www.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=47332) but to no avail. Even re-installing XAMPP did not help.
As this forum is more actiove, and has some very experience people here.. Anybody with suggestions on where to continue looking?
