Semi-crosspost from an actual reply which I started off with the contents shown below because losing yet another reply / forum post due to a defective system design is seriously annoying.

PLEASE, make certain that whenever you post in a forum, such as by clicking "POST QUICK REPLY" or "GO ADVANCED" you either
- NEVER show the full screen ad
or
- make certain that the message is still actually SAVED and not just discarded.

The current behaviour is to sometimes show a fullscreen ad after posting, and when you, in the page with the ad, clicks "skip this ad", the link url does indeed say something like postreply=...&t=..., but the next page is blank!
Missing post data perhaps because you simply insert another page before the resulting page, except that this resulting page actually needed POST DATA from the assumed last page, but in reality last but one page.

It is seriously annoying to type a message, forget to "select all, copy to clipboard", and then have an entire reply lost. And no, copy to clipboard should NOT be the solution. Clicking submit should most definitely always mean that data is persisted (stored in DB, whatever), at least unless you have some serious TEMPORARY errors / problems on your side. The reason should most definitely NOT be a seriously flawed design in your ad system.

Glad I use Firefox with the AdBlock plug-in. 🙂

Same goes for Google Chrome with the AdBlock plugin... I didn't know there were people who actually still see the ads on the web...

I can't use an ad blocker, but generally they don't bother me at all. However, I'm curious about your ad blockers. Do they really manage to block this kind of ad?

This ad is not placed somewhere on a page, it is the entire document, and is inserted "in between" two page requests. That is, I'm on page 1, request page 2, but instead get the "page ad" in which there is but one link which leads to page 2. It happens very infrequently though, so it might be a random low chance probability.

I've never seen this ad from post quick reply or go advanced... in fact I've only ever seen it when trying to load a forum (aka not a thread or a post page). Maybe you're just unlucky ;-)

I have not run into any full-page ads here, just the annoying pop-ups when you mouse over those generated links and which I haven't gotten around to "teaching" AdBlock to block. 🙂
