Is there a way to get affected row IDs?

say i'm updating my stocks table, and this update affects 10 rows....

i know how get the count of how many affected rows , but i need to know what are the id's of these affected rows? this is for the purpose of loggin it in my logs table.

I don't know of any way to do it other than to do a second query to select the ID's, using the same where clause that you did for the update query.
