change upload file name

I have seen posts on how to change the name of the uploaded file but what I am looking for is how to create a nomanclature based on some of the form fields. For example, if I have a form with these fields:
field1
field2
field3

I would want to make these part of the file name being saved to the server. So the file would end up looking like this:
field1-filed2-field3.jpg

What have you tried? Can you show us your code? It's really just as simple as throwing the strings together in whatever way you want...

$destination = "/path/to/somewhere/$_POST[field1]-$_POST[field2]-$_POST[field3].jpg";

Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that I am using a Joomla plugin called BreezingForms. However it does not allow you to change the name of the uploaded image. I contacted tech support but they said it is out the the standard tech support. Still waiting to see how much they would charge me to do it since I am not a master at this by any stretch of the imagination.

Here is a link to the form. It is password protected so you will need to log in with this temp credentials.

The menu path is Competitions > Image Submission

There's nothing we'd be able to see in the form that would help at all - it's the PHP code that's doing all of the work.

So... either dive into the PHP code, or hire a programmer to do so for you. 🙂
