hi there
I've just launched a new redesigned website that replaces the old HTML pages with newer, more dynamic PHP pages. Because the site has been live several years, I want to make sure that redirects are in place so the search engines will follow the new pages accordingly...
In the .htaccess code I added the following lines:
redirect 301 /index.htm http://thefurnace.org.uk/index.php
redirect 301 /calendar.htm http://thefurnace.org.uk/calendar.php
redirect 301 /gigs.htm http://thefurnace.org.uk/gigs.php
redirect 301 /map.htm http://thefurnace.org.uk/map.php
redirect 301 /reboot.htm http://thefurnace.org.uk/club.php
..and they all work fine now except the 3rd one. When I try to go to:
http://thefurnace.org.uk/gigs.htm
it's trying to go to this page and erroring (as there no colon after "http")
http//thefurnace.org.uk/gigs.php
Am baffled as to why. Can anyone help?
Cheers 🙂
