dynamic tree menu

Hi,

I have been sourcing the intenet for three days looking for a solution for putting together a drop down dynamic menu that feeds from the mysql database. I already have the drop down menu in place and because there are a number of categories with sub categories I thought about the possibility of using a dynamic menu or inserting the php code into my existing drop down menu.

Has anyone seen a good example of this or further information for putting this together? or indeed recommend software that they have used?

Any help would be appreciated.

Try searching this forum. This question has been asked many times. Terms like "hierarchical data" and "nested sets" come to mind. MySQL also has a very good section on hierarchical data that you may find useful.
