CNAME for dummies

Hi all

Can anyone help me? I've got a forum set up here:

http://gorecki.co.uk/board

Imagine I also owned the domain "gorecki.org" and I wanted it to be configured so that when I type in "gorecki.org" it takes me directly to the above URL but still shows as "gorecki.org" in the address bar.

I don't want to do it in a frame. Is creating a CNAME record the solution?

You should be able to have both domain names point to the same web root directory on your web server. The only thing to worry about then is making sure you don't have the domain name hard-coded in your internal site links, or else anywhere you don't want to use relative links, create a app-wide variable for the host name, e.g.:

header("Location: http://" . $hostname . "/path/to/file.php");
