Aye, that 'twas me for many a yarr ... now "da man" pays me to do what I do, and has others for sales and marketing (including himself) and a designer and a support person (who technically, is also my boss). So far, it's a tad better arrangement, but as a geek I was just no good at business ... just fixin' stuff and programming.
And I hear ya, Cretaceous ... it was that way with me for a long time.
I guess what I'm finding funny is how if anyone has a question about code, even stuff like ASCII numbers for translation of HTML entities, I seem to be the only one with knowledge. But at least I do know. And everyone knows enough to keep the ship afloat, or so it seems. I do hope sales & marketing gets on the stick soon (they've been short-handed since about, oh, March, just got 3 new people in the last month or so) ... that "profit sharing" thing sounds too good to be true if they don't.
