i m working with sessions..
i have problem with sessions
here is my coding

i want to register a session

but when i use session_register function i got error ""Deprecated: Function session_register() is deprecated in C:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\c\admin\session_check.php on line 2""

help me..how can i register session without this error...

thanks for your help bruhhh....but i have include this session file on every php file...and it is starting session on every page...without login admin id...when i direct access any page..it is working...

before i was using old php...but now i have upgraded php..and now m getting these types of errors...is there any way to convert old coding to new one?

Where do you ever define $_SESSION['admin_id']? The code you've posted so far only checks to see if it exists.

For one, get rid of session_register() anywhere it appears - you shouldn't be using it at all.

For another, the second code snippet (assuming it's a different script?) never calls [man]session_start/man.

i want to start a session on login page...and want to call it on everypage...if the admin is in session,he can access page otherwise not...so tell me the sollution...how i can do this?when admin login his id..session start...then i make a different session page and include it on every php page...how can i do this?please help me...thx in advance...or tell me..how can i call same id in session on every page..

What do you mean "call it" ? You can't "call" a session.

surely it's fairly clear what he wants to do..

The session must be started on every page whether user is logged in or not
Initialise the session with the "successful log in" variable after a correct log in
On each page check the session to see if that variable is set

use the correct terms and BradG can be extremely helpful

It seems like he's already doing this, with the exception of the deprecated use of session_register() as well as the missing session_start() on every page (two issues which I already addressed previously before the long, confusing post).

Hence why I was confused as to what the actual questions were.

hello there...i just want to say that...i want to register a session on 1 page with id or name, anything that can be.....and i want to recall that id or name on every page of the site,with the session...i want to include session file on top of every page...and then i want to call that id or name on everypage....just this...not anything else..."before with session register function i used to register a id in the session...then i can call it on every page."...now i want to do this again...but function is deprecated...i want to help on this only....

All you have to do is stop using [man]session_register/man and instead use the $_SESSION superglobal array. The manual page for [man]session_register/man shows how to use this array instead of the deprecated function.

In other words, all you have to do is call [man]session_start/man on every page that you use session data. After that, you simply read/store contents from/to the $_SESSION array.
