I have a dedicated server and i'm trying to install a PHP app that require magic quotes disabled and IonCube installed. I modified php.ini (guided by info provided by phpinfo()) and it was sucessfully disabled and installed Ioncube after. But next day i found magic quotes gpc ON and still off in php,ini! this is very strange. phpinfo() function also show gpc on but 2 others magic quotes are off. IonCube also show as NOT INSTALLED.
This is related with PHP? Cpanel? What can i do?
If you've got a dedicated server, I'd contact the hosting service; most of them have quite valuable tech support personnel who can investigate things for you.
If not, search the board for "hosting", perhaps you can find someone better 😉
unless your selling accounts on your server I cant see why you would want to have cpanel anywhere near it.
