file_get_contents question...

so i am using

<?PHP
$file = "http://www.my-external-domain.com/myfile.php";
$data = @file_get_contents($file);
$echo $data;
?>

to display the contents of myfile.php on a different website, the website running the code above...

and that all works fine,

but i want to find out with myfile.php which domain is connecting to it...

is there any way to do this?

You could include that information in the query string of the URL.

myfile.php might also be able to use one of the $_SERVER variables to get the IP address from which the request for it is coming.

I thought the OP was asking about the local domain that's including the remote content, e.g. the domain on which the above PHP code is being executed (not my-external-domain.com, in other words).

If not, then I agree - $_SERVER might already provide the needed info.
