[RESOLVED] getelementby ID in javascript

Hi,

Somehow, when I use a variable in getelementbyid() the function does not do what I expect.

So.. Using document.getElementById(CurrentFieldName) gives me an alert: gwInterested_ct106_chkInterested. However, if I use document.getElementById('gwInterested_ct106_chkInterested') I get an alert stating aaa. Am I doing something wrong?

I am trying to check whether a certain fiel in the form exists. Unfortunately I am editing a form created based on database fields, and I am not the person in control of the fieldnames. So I need to create a loop and check whether individual fields are checked..

When working on code that does not work, VERY carefull check typos. In this case: TH ecounter in the page I was given does not run in hondreds, but in tens, with the letter l in front. And in some text editors that look exactly like the 1. Solved.
