send to a frend form

hi all, new here, I hope someone can answer this question for me I cant work t out...

I have a simple send to a friend form and I am using $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] to submit the link but it keeps sending the /tell_a_friend.php link not the ref, what am i missing? please help.

For one, you shouldn't rely on the Referer HTTP header - it's optional and can even be modified/removed by intermediate gateways (such as proxies).

For another, it's hard for us to say without some simple examples and/or relevant code that illustrate the flow of requests the user makes.

thanks I am now using another JavaScript history method which is working very well
