listing the pictures in a directory

i uploaded pictures to a directory and in that directory i will make an index.php file and with this file i want to be able to list all the pictures in this folder clickable so that my friend who lives far from me can click each of them and look at it. how can i do that?

Use [man]glob/man to get an array of files in the directory and iterate through that array in a [man]foreach/man loop that outputs links to those files.

thanks and i know what you mean, but i forgot most of my php knowledge . can you write the code please?

I'd hazard a guess and say the group.

PHPBuilder is a great place for programmers of all levels of experience who are trying to build their skills up. It's not so great a place for people looking for free handouts or free labor; if you want someone to do the work for you, perhaps you should look into hiring such a person.

i am not looking for free labor. i joined this group 4 years ago and had many appropriate discussions, and from those discussions wriote a lot of code myself with the things i learned....but it was a long time ago and i just forgot php syntax a little and wanted help for the syntax... i dont need a whole code... i have a coder helping me sometimes.... but this was too small to bother him... anyway.. i will figure out the syntax.... no more help needed....
