Optimizing search query

Hello, I have this MySQL db structure:

mainTable1 contains Varchar fields to be searched

Table2 related to mainTable1 contains keywords of particular elements of ainTable1

Table3 related to mainTable1 contains keywords of particular elements of ainTable1

Table4 related to mainTable1 contains keywords of particular elements of ainTable1

All tables are MyISAM because i want to take advantages of FULL TEXT searches

My solution was to perform a SELECT fields FROM (SELECT 1 , SELECT 2, SELECT3)

But this solution leads to low performance queries.

Do you have an suggestion about some kind of advanced solution.

I've never used stored procedures or views in MySQL but maybe they will help?

Can you show us the actual CREATE TABLE statements that define each table? That would probably make it easier for us to understand exactly how your DB is structured.

it seems that it wasn't the query guilty of this problem, but other issue that also affectes MySQL performances.
